For Women

Over the years that I have been in practice (since 1973), I have had occasion to treat a variety of female issues with various electro therapies.

Mastitis.
Mastitis is obviously not a condition for which a lady would ever consider Chiropractic treatment.  Yet I treated it, when a patient with mastitis came to me for her low back pain.  After the low back problem was treated, she told me about her mastitis.  She had had the condition nearly a year.  She had been to a number of doctors without any help. The last doctor told her to use ice daily and to be patient, it would eventually go away on its own.  Any condition that ends in "itis" is an inflammation.  Ultra sound is an anti-inflamatory treatment for all types of inflamed tissues.  Two treatments completely healed her mastitis.

Uterine Bleeding
Another condition for which one would not consider a chiropractor.  This lady was referred to me by her sister, who had received treatment in our office for back issues and somehow concluded that I could help her sister.  Her sister was not yet 30 and had been bleeding despite 3 D&Cs.  She was scheduled for hysterectomy the following week and was desperate.  She still wanted children. Diathermy is a system of healing using very deep heat.  The first treatment slowed the issue of blood.  The second stopped it.   She did not have the hysterectomy and did go on to have a normal pregnancy.  Diathermy (see image below) is administered over your clothing, positioned over your uterus.  It is felt as deep comfortable heat.

Bronchitis
Yes, I know.  Men also have bronchitis.  But most of my patients with this problem have been women.  How is this treated?   With the same unit described above and pictured below, Diathermy.  The large 9.5 inch drum is comfortably placed over your clothing, over the chest area for a 15 -20 minute treatment.  The heat is not superficial like that of a heating pad.  The soothing heat is pulsed deep into the lung tissue dissipating the lung congestion.
